Electro-Acrylic is a versatile concept. From the beginning, it was clear that the creative possibilities were vast. EA has therefore naturally become a constantly evolving platform. As a true experimental laboratory that can interweave several fields of creation and technology, EA is open to enriching and creative collaborations.

The responsive platform is the first achievement of the EA project. It is constantly evolving. It is the heart of the Electro-Acrylic concept.

EA+SATOSPHÈRE
Adaptation of the EA concept to the SAT dome

It was during our residency at the Société des Arts Technologiques [SAT] that we adapted the EA concept to the Satosphère, the SAT's 360˚ immersive projection dome. We presented the results of our research in about ten performances.

Streaming VR 360˚

Live 360˚ VR capture and broadcast by VRexperiment (Summit) of a performance by EA in the dome of the Society for Arts and Technology [SAT] during the iX Symposium, which can be followed in virtual reality at other geographical points.

Adaptation of the EA concept to the panoramic projection of the Eccentricity of the City (Ottawa)

It was a first for this brand new multimedia room to receive the EA concept in panoramic visual and sound projection.

Sound design by analog modular.

As part of the approach of the meeting of Low Tech and Hi Tech, Frédéric Laurier, sound designer of EA, designed an analog modular allowing to create sounds directly from the basic signal generated by the canvas (the board).

Project to integrate artificial intelligence into the creation of live musical-pictorial works..

Integrating artificial intelligence into the creation of a live work, not just as a random reactive composer of incoming data but as a proactive intelligence reacting to the creative intentions of the artists who perform with it live. We want to open up the collaborative, creative and intuitive potential of AI to react in real time with other creators.

EA+MAPPING
Projections on structures in real time.

Obviously, EA lends itself perfectly to "mapping" or 3D projections onto surrounding structures.

Live motion capture.

This involves adding in capture, in addition to the traces, stains and shapes on the canvas, the movements of the painter-percussionist, to interfere with the projected sound and/or visual amplitude. This avenue can also be coupled with an artist in bodily expression.

Video design by modular.

The goal is to explore organic video generation, directly resulting from the visual and percussive interaction of pictorial creation.

We have several very short video clips that show the project. They are more like "teasers". We are looking to create a real original clip that can convey the whole atmosphere and the deep nature of the Electro-Acrylic concept.. Directors, if you are interested....
